MY Future Enrichment Pathway
MY Future (Mentoring Your Future) is JEP Youth Engagement’s specialist enrichment and mentoring pathway for young people who need something different from traditional education. JEP was founded on the belief that enrichment, real-world experience and meaningful relationships are powerful drivers of engagement and change for young people. MY Future continues that vision providing bespoke, person-centred programmes that build confidence, independence, life skills and aspiration through mentoring, practical learning and purposeful progression opportunities. Every young person’s journey with us is shaped around their strengths, interests, EHCP/ILP outcomes and future goals. Whether the aim is to rebuild confidence, develop independence, achieve recognised qualifications, or take steps towards employment, MY Future creates a pathway that feels achievable, supportive and motivating. At MY Future, success looks different for everyone, and we build programmes that reflect that.

What Do We Do?
Our services provide tailored support, to help our young people feel safe, valued, and ready to grow, whatever challenges they’re facing. All staff at JEP Youth Engagement are "DETERMINED to support young people to fulfil their potential".
No two young people are the same, so no two MY Future programmes are the same.
From day one, we work closely with the young person, their family and professionals to create a bespoke placement package built around:
· EHCP / ILP Outcomes
· Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs
· Communication and Sensory Profiles
· Interests, Strengths and Motivators
· Long-Term Aspirations and Transition Goals
Each young person is supported by a consistent MY Future Learning Support Mentor who builds a trusted relationship, provides one-to-one guidance, and helps break larger goals into small, achievable steps.
Programmes are designed to be flexible, nurturing and responsive, allowing young people to re-engage at a pace that feels safe and realistic while still making meaningful progress.
MY Future learning goes beyond the classroom. We focus on helping young people develop the practical, social and emotional skills they need for everyday life and future independence.

Learning is practical, engaging and delivered in ways that build confidence through doing, experiencing and achieving.
We believe every young person should have the opportunity to gain recognised achievements, no matter where they are starting from.
MY Future incorporates AQA Unit Award Scheme (UAS) opportunities, allowing young people to work towards accredited unit awards in areas linked to their interests and development goals.
AQA units can be tailored around:
· Independent living skills
· Personal development and wellbeing
· Employability and work readiness
· Community participation
· Creative and practical skills
This approach allows young people to experience success, build a portfolio of achievements, and develop confidence in their ability to learn and progress —often for the first time in a long while.
Achievements are celebrated as part of each young person’s journey and can form an important bridge into further education, training or employment pathways.
MY Future is not just about the present, it is about building a clear and supported route into what comes next.
Throughout their placement, young people receive:
· Ongoing mentoring and goal setting
· Regular progress reviews linked to EHCP/ILP outcomes
· Engagement and attendance monitoring
· Evidence of personal and skills development
We also support vocational exploration and employability, including:
· Discovering strengths and interests
· Confidence building through project-based learning
· CV Development and interview preparation
· Understanding workplace expectations
For some, progression may mean re-engaging with education through a blended pathway.
For others, it may mean moving towards training, supported internships, volunteering or greater independence in the community.
Every journey includes structured transition planning, ensuring young people move forward with the confidence, skills and support networks they need for their next stage.
Within our MY Future Pathway, every young person is met with belief, respect and high expectations.
We don’t offer a one-size-fits-all programme. We build bespoke pathways where potential is recognised, nurtured and turned into real, visible progress.
MY Future is where support is personalised, achievement is recognised, and futures start to take shape.
